Firefighters suffer fire damage too

Common Injuries for Firefighters
Sprains, strains, and other muscular pains are the most frequent injuries firefighters get in their line of work. Firefighters’ protective clothing prevent them from being burned, although the unexpected reality of their profession and the hefty lifting it usually demands means they are at risk of additional possible injuries and illnesses.
The principal injuries were sprains, strains and/or muscular injuries. The obligation to answer to any sort of call at a moment’s notice gives firefighters extra likely to strain muscles. The common and frequent injuries are on the ground and were due to overexertion and strain.
Not as frequent, but very important to examine, is the rise in crashes affecting emergency vehicles reacting to or returning from events.
Shocking to some, studies show that burns at the fire are uncommon, probably due to all the protective clothing worn to avert such injuries. Being burned at the disturbance is acknowledged to be a preventable injury and a sign that the firefighter had done something incorrectly.
We at SERVPRO are dedicated to supporting our 1st responders and appreciate the heroism they show every day.
